Rotterdam International Film Festival has officially selected Icelandic thriller BLACK’S GAME for the Tiger Award Competition.

"We are very pleased to present Óskar Thór Axelsson in the Tiger Award competition for first and second time directors. BLACK'S GAME is made with style, passion and conviction. This tale of the Icelandic drug and ultra violence infested underworld in the 1990’s shows the director’s talent to master the genre and make it his own", says Festival director Rutger Wolfson.

Sara Blædel's critically acclaimed crime novel "The Forgotten Girls" has been crowned Novel of the Year 2011 by Danish internet book retailer Saxo.

The UK edition of Mons Kallentoft's "Midwinter Sacrifice" is one of eight selected spring titles for Richard and Judy's Book Club. The book, which was originally published in hardback in October, will be highlighted for two weeks, starting on the 19th of January.
